Summary - After turning off the OOPS, do not shoot out the remaining pressure.
Quote:
When you de-gas the gun, by removing the tank, the HPR and the valve chamber will empty. The only part that holds any charge is the LPR and solenoid and rammer. This is the air you can hear escape after a few minutes. It is a tiny amount of low pressure air.
If you FIRE this air out, then what you do is half cycle the solenoid so that once the LPR is empty the solenoid is stuck in its OPEN position. The gun now has no air in it, but the solenoid is open. Now, when you put the air back on again, the solenoid is open, so the air coming into the gun drives the rammer forward up until the solenoid resets itself (the solenoid needs air pressure to reset!). So that is what happens. The rammer goes forward until the solenoid has enough air in it, then it closes the solenoid and the rammer returns.
If you want to empty the gun of air from the LPR when you de-gas, but don't want the bolt to cycle on gas-up, then just hold the bolt pin back as you turn on the gas.

We are proud to unveil the new Planet Eclipse Warranty Centre:
https://www.planeteclipse.com/warranty/signin
This is the beginning of a new Warranty system that we have been wanting to integrate for some time now, allowing customers to create an account for themselves, register the Eclipse markers that they currently own and then "dispose" of them when they sell them on, allowing the next owner to register them.
Not only do we anticipate that this will make life easier for you guys the customers, but will also aid our Service Centres when validating warranty information and carrying out warranty and service work.
So how do you use the new system????
Customers who have ALREADY registered their Eclipse marker(s) for warranty should follow this procedure:
- Click on the "Retrieve Password" link on the left hand side of the Welcome page or here
- Enter the email address that you used on your original Warranty registration
- Click the "Retrieve" button
- An automated email will be sent to you with your Sign In details and a hyperlink allowing you to Sign In straight away.
- Once you have Signed In you can amend your Address, Contact, Email and Password details accordingly as well as view and amend your current Warranty Registrations.
Customer who have NOT yet registered their Eclipse marker(s) for Warranty purposes should follow this procedure:
- Click on the "Create New Account" link on the left hand side of the Welcome page or here
- Begin the Create Account process selecting a Screen Name, Email Address and Password.
- Click on the "Next Step" button
- Providing all of the Registration details that you have submitted are valid, you will receive a notification at the top of the Screen to say "Account Created - your Sign In details have been emailed to you". (NOTE: This is purely for your records and to allow you to resume the Sign In process at a later date if you are interrupted).
- Submit valid Contact Details ensuring that all of the required fields are complete (Full name, contact preferences etc) .

Soooooo many things wrong in the article...
N.J. terror plot highlights use of paintball facilities for training exercise
Quote:
Throngs of children flocked to the paintball fields in West Milford Sunday to engage in mock-warfare. Dressed in Army fatigues, they donned face masks, shot tiny round balls at each other and laughed as the balls exploded in colorful paint.
But two years ago, authorities say, Mohamed Mahmood Alessa and Carlos Eduardo Almonte did not paintball battle — as the sport lingo calls it — just for fun. Instead, authorities said, the two terror suspects used the activity as a training exercise for violent jihad, perfect for honing guerrilla warfare skills.
According to the arrest complaint, Alessa and Almonte "engaged in simulated combat" at an unspecified outdoor facility in West Milford in early 2008. Two years later, according to the complaint, Almonte showed off his skills again, practicing "various shooting and crawling positions using a paintball gun" in an apartment in Jersey City.
This is not the first time paintball has emerged in terror investigations. The connection has become so well-known, in fact, that facility owners in New Jersey say they receive regular visits from FBI agents on the look-out for suspicious activity.
"They’ve been here twice," said Cathy Escobedo, the owner of ABC Paintball Field and Supplies near West Milford, in Passaic County. "I guess it’s the only way in New Jersey to ‘battle’ against somebody and not get in trouble for it. But if they want to learn how to shoot a gun, they should go to a shooting range."
Escobedo FBI agents first visited her facility after the Fort Dix terror plot, in which five men were convicted in 2008 of trying to kill American soldiers at the South Jersey military installation. Investigators said the men in that case rented a house in the Pocono Mountains, where they trained in part by playing war games with paintball.
In 2004, nine men were convicted in another terrorist ring, dubbed the "paintball jihad network," after authorities said they trained with paintball in Virginia.
Managers at three of the main paintball facilities near West Milford — ABC Supplies, Paintball Depot and New Breed Paintball — said they had never heard of Alessa and Almonte until Sunday. Officials at a | ... [Read More]
